

Fred was born in National City, CA on July 13, 1931 to the late George and Dorothy (Sipp) Eaton. He leaves behind his loving wife Patricia of whom he married July 22, 1967.
Fred served during the Korean War on the USS Los Angeles PA-135 (4-7-1950 to 2-4-1954) and worked as an engineer for 38 years at Pac Bell. He was a master storyteller and could talk for hours about his adventures in the navy and living abroad. He was also a very gifted joke teller, specializing in blonde jokes. Fred was also known as Mr. Fix-It and enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping, fishing and hunting. He loved bowling. All of his children and grandchildren spent many Mondays at the bowling alley. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them making many great memories together.
Fred is survived by 5 children: Marjorie (Steve) Smith of San Diego; Kenny Eaton of Gridley; Wanda (Tim) Doscher of LaTrobe; Tammy (John) Helliwell of Roseville; and Toni (Larry) Lipp of Sacramento. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Kenny, Holly, and Katie of San Diego; Mike of Riverside; Miranda, Austin, Colton, Mckailey, Madison, Camrynn, and Paitynn of Roseville; and Alexis and Parker of Sacramento.
Funeral arrangements will be held 10 a.m., Friday, October 14, 2011 at Mount Vernon Memorial on Greenback Ln. in Fair Oaks.
