Aunt Helen will be in our hearts forever.  I will miss our phone calls and birthday calls when Uncle Walter would get on the phone to say happy birthday brat!  She was the sweetest, positive and most kind person we have ever known. All our love Sharon (Emery) Tuttle & Dana Tuttle

Helen has been such a wonderful neighbor and friend for over 50 years.  Sharing her produce,cookies, jams, peaches,lemons, etc. with all the neighbors. She was such a kind,funny and honest individual.  We enjoyed so many visits and laughs over the past 50  plus years.  We truly miss Helen and Walt.

I will never forget the wonderful woman who made my baby blanket, a beautiful quilt 50 years ago. I took it everywhere with me and still have it carefully wrapped up in my closet. I remember walking 5 houses down the street to visit and being welcomed with her loving smile and treats. Thank you Helen for being the beautiful woman that you were. You will be very missed. Until we meet again.

Auntie Helen was such a giving person.  When I would make a trip to California my plans always was  to see her and uncle Walter, they always made you feel as if I was coming home. Which I was. Love always in My Heart. Love Lois Powden  Your Niece Robinson, Il.

Aunt Helen was more than my aunt.  She was my other Mom!  She always made me feel so welcome.  Even when I showed up at Uncle Walter and Aunt Helen's doorstep late at night after a horrendous trip through bad weather.  There was Aunt Helen with a hug and cookies and a cup of hot tea.  I loved when we lived in Carmichael and we could walk over to her house and have dinner or  just hang out.  Driving to Apple Hill on the weekend was fun with the great picnics she would prepare.  She was one of the most authentic, honest,direct people that always showed  her kindness and caring. I always looked forward to receiving one of her letters or cards. It meant so much to me to receive a note from her. I have saved some of these letters over the years and love reading them, as she would keep me updated on family. You will be missed Aunt Helen.  I love you.

To call Helen a dear, dear friend is just not enough.  I've known her since I was 4 years old and she has always been so warm and kind and loving. She made yummy treats and gave glorious hugs and twinkly-eyed smiles. She sewed clothes for me when I was a young school girl and made kitchen towels and potholders for me when I married. She made me beautiful quilts and gave me one for my daughter when she was born. She was a lovely, giving, kind and wonderful woman. In all the years I knew her, I never heard a negative or mean word cross her lips. Her friendship to me, my parents and my family was so deep and so long lasting that somewhere, at some time, it crossed over into family. I will never forget her and look forward to seeing that twinkly-eyed smile,  hearing that sweet voice and getting a glorious warm hug from her again one day.  With Much Love, Celeste Wingate-Weklych
