

Bill was born June 6, 1929 in Mattoon, Illinois to Pearl and James Kirkpatrick.
Bill was a loving husband to Eleanor (Santos) Kirkpatrick for 54 years. He was a loving Father to his daughter Nancy (Kirkpatrick) Barnes (Ron); Step Son Steve Hastie; Step Son Dale Hastie (Patti). A devoted Grandfather to; Jessica Cochrane (Kevin); Katie Brown (Mike); Brian Barnes (Brittany); Jennifer Burkett (Dale); Andrea Moore (Pete); Kellen Hastie (Erin); James Hastie; Hunter Hastie; and 13 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by; Wife Eleanor Kirkpatrick; Father James H. Kirkpatrick, Mother Pearl Kirkpatrick; Sister Pauline Berns; Sister Dorris Bricker and great granddaughter Alaina Hardenburgh
Bill served in the Navy from 1950 - 1954 and was assigned to the USS Menard. He worked as a radioman aboard the ship. After his time in the Navy he became a TV repairman and moved to Sacramento, California. He met and married Eleanor in March 1957. In 1973, Bill became a Member of Roseville Lodge #222, and served as Master in 1979. Bill was also a Member of Lassen Lodge #149 in Susanville, California, and a member of Ben Ali Shriners in Sacramento. Bill loved spending time with his friends and family, masonic functions, camping, woodworking and traveling. Funeral services will take place Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 9am at Mount Vernon Mortuary in Fair Oaks.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Bill's memory to American Cancer Society or Hospice Promise Foundation in Reno, Nevada.
