John Alton Peters

It’s with great sadness I announce the passing of my loving husband John who died after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

John is preceded in death by his parents Dave and Judy Peters. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Lisa, daughters Lindsey Christianson (Erik) & Melanie Peters, Grandson Jordan Price, brothers James and Jeff Peters as well as an extended family including his mother-in-law Marlene Schultz, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

His parents moved the family to Fair Oaks from Yucaipa where he spent much of his childhood working at his fathers place of business Orangevale Auto Parts and graduated from Bella Vista High School. John retired from a long and successful career at PG&E as a Fleet Engineering Specialist where he was revered by co-workers and friends. He had many hobbies which included driving his hot rod, a 34 Ford Coupe, riding his Harley Davidson, playing pool and spending time at a local gun club where he enjoyed shooting both pistols and rifles.

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

There will be a memorial service held September 25th at 10:30 a.m at Point Pleasant United Methodist Church 3329 Point Pleasant Rd, Elk Grove, CA 95757
