

Late Mrs. Kamala Perumala, wife of Late Mr. John Bunyan Perumala, was born to father Yesuratnam and mother Raja Rathnamma in Aakaram, Nalgonda District, Andhra Pradesh, India on January 16, 1934. She is survived by her two sons, two daughters, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law and eight grandchildren.
Having lost her father when she was 3 months old, Late Mrs. Kamala was raised by her mother and her extended family. She attended school in Medak until 7th grade. After, she went to Wesley High School in Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh, in pursuit of teachers training. She specialized in continuing education to the under privileged community. Subsequently, she was promoted as Assistant Principal in a government school.
Late Mrs. Kamala married to Late Mr. John Bunyan Perumala on May 23, 1956 and moved to Sirpur Kagaznagar. She resumed teaching at Shishu Mandir High School, where she retired as a middle school teacher in 1992.
Shortly after the birth of her firstborn Vidyasagar J. Perumala, she accepted Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 25. She spiritually embedded her life in the Lord walking miles on her feet to preach the Word of God on the streets of India. She evangelized to non-believers and underprivileged in the villages of India. She enjoyed managing and helping kids to understand wonders and love of God in Sunday School at the CSI church in Sirpur Kagaznagar, India. She was very vocal about her faith and fearlessly preached on the streets of Antelope, California, US until she fell sick. Kamala Perumala also lived a lifestyle according to the Word of God that brought glory to Lord Jesus Christ.
Kamala Perumala along with her late husband John Bunyan Perumala came to US to live with their children on Oct 26th, 1994. First they arrived at Phoenix, AZ stayed with daughter Christine Lavanya Kumari Maddela. She worked as Teacher’s Assistant at St Paul’s Lutheran Preschool in Phoenix, AZ until 1995 and moved to Sacramento, CA to join with their eldest son Vidyasagar Perumala. After her son moved to Chicago for a job, she remained in Sacramento, CA with her husband. Shortly after, both daughters moved to Sacramento, California.
Our mother, Kamala Perumala, served the Lord in prayers in health and sickness without ceasing and ever complaining of any pain. During her last days and until her last breath she remained strong in her faith, despite multiple ailments. She is joining her late husband, Mr. John Bunyan Perumala’s side at Mount Vernon Funeral Home, Fair Oaks, California until the day of resurrection.
She shared her beliefs to people around her and was a great blessing to others. Family, relatives, and friends definitely take her as an example on how to be bold in evangelizing the Word of God, especially to non-believers. Her strong rooted faith in our Savior Lord Jesus Christ inspired and impacted lot of individuals and made a huge difference in people lives.
Due to her unceasing and sincere prayers God has blessed her family abundantly. We are pleased that she now has eternal life in the house of the glorious Lord.
Perumala, Kamala - Entered into Life on 1/16/1934 in Aler, India. Entered into Rest on June 28, 2012. A Visitation will be held on July 7, 2012 at 2:00pm with a Funeral Service at 3:00pm at Oak Hill Church - 1100 Blue Ravine Road Folsom, CA. Burial to follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park - 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628.
