
Linda Susan Morphis passed away peacefully on July 7th 2013, after a long battle with Breast Cancer, at the age of 57 years young. Linda was born on September 18th , 1955 to Ted and Kathryn Scheld of Carmichael, CA and attended grade school through high school there.
For a brief period she went off to Iowa but returned home to California. From there Linda went to work for First Interstate Bank starting as branch teller and working up to branch head teller manager. Linda eventually resigned from, by then, Wells Fargo Bank to go to work for MCI as a billing analyst. She worked for MCI until 2002 when she was diagnosed with Breast and Bone cancer. Linda went on permanent disability and spent her last years loving her family and the churches she attended. She was even written about in a book called Dear Lord I have Cancer. Linda was most happy when she became a grandmother of Damein Arthur Laguna. whom she loved dearly and spoiled quite well. Linda and family lived in Rescue, CA for 17 years where she passed away
Linda left behind a family of husband John Morphis, daughter Emily Ann Laguna, grandson Damein Arthur Laguna all of Rescue,CA, sister Sherri Lawrence of Louisville Ky, sister Nancy Andres and her husband Harold, of Orangevale, CA, and her brother Ted Scheld and his wife Linda Lou of Palm Harbor, FL. She also left behind many nephews and nieces all over America.
Linda will be interred at Mount Vernon Memorial Park on Greenback Lane in Citrus Heights , CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Linda’s name.
