Linda Jane Wright

Linda Jane (Stow) Wright, age 75 of Gold River, CA passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. Linda was born in Canton, OH on March 2, 1942. She was the daughter of Robert M. and Rita C. Stow,who preceded her in death. Linda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gary P. Wright. Also surviving are her sons, Brian R. Wright and his wife Michelle of Tucson, AZ, Cory A. Wright and his wife Lizzy of Oakdale, CA and two grandchildren, Carter and Kira Wright of Oakdale, CA. She is also survived by her sister, Robin C. Stow of Gold River, CA.

Linda was raised in Acton, Massachusetts, attending school there before attending college at Lasell College in Newton, MA. Linda studied in the Secretarial Program and went on to become an Executive Secretary for Raytheon Company in Massachusetts. In the mid 60’s, Linda transferred with Raytheon to the Bay Area of California. Many years later, Linda and her family moved to the Palm Springs, CA area where Linda became involved in selling real estate and winning many awards.

Linda had many passions. She loved gardening, especially the roses in her garden. She loved horses from a very early age and was a very accomplished English rider. She won many ribbons with her horses when she showing in 4-H as a teenager. Later in life, Linda and her family raised Arabian horses. Linda turned to the art of stained glass for relaxation in her spare time.

Linda suffered with many medical problems for years but remained strong throughout her journey. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is in a state of peace.

Services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Mount Vernon Memorial Park and Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628.
