

Lois Lorraine (White) Patterson, age 92, went home to be with Jesus, her wonderful Savior, on April 3, 2015. She was a precious Mother to three daughters, Nancy (Jerry) Nelson, Mary Patterson, Bonnie (George) Murphey; beloved grandmother of Lori (Corey) Blair, Thomas (Gayle) Nelson, Susan (Mike) Walker, Robbin(Tom) Riggins, Dawn Rutz, Debbie (Brett) Stacy, Jenny (Mack) Hoskins; loving great-grandmother of C.J., Alycia, Myles, Nicolle, Collin, Joey, Jessie, Christina, Ashley, Megan, Jacob, Naomi, Sydney; great-great- grandmother of Forrest and Rylan. Lois’ sister passed away many years ago and “Auntie Lois” became a second Mother to her sister’s children. She was also loved by many other nieces and nephews. Lois was a homemaker and made everyone feel special and loved.
Lois was a member of the Ladies in White for 15 years It was a first aid squad with the Citrus Heights Fire Department, a forerunner of the EMT’s we have today. Lois loved bowling and was active in the “Friends and Neighbors” league at Fireside Bowling Alley for about 45 years, making many friends. For many years Lois and her husband, Tom, traveled with family and friends all around the United States in their motorhome.
Lois taught third grade Sunday School for almost 30 years at the Citrus Heights First Baptist Church on Mariposa Ave. She enlisted all of her daughters to help copy materials for the Sunday School lesson by holding the papers up to the window to trace the pictures and lessons. She was active in Women’s Missions at Sunrise Community Church. Lois loved music and sang alto even during her time at Camden Springs Senior Apartment where she lived for 3 years in Elk Grove. We would like to thank the staff at Camden Springs, Emeritus at Laguna and Kaiser Hospice for their loving care of our Mother.
