It is with great sadness that the family of Lydia Urzua announce her passing away at home on September 17, 2024. She was 82 years old when she lost her long battle with lung cancer. Born in San Fernando, California on March 25, 1942 to parents, Candido Armenta and Catalina Armenta. She is survived by her husband of 45 years Robert Urzua and her daughters, Rita Reyes, Sherrie Hernandez-Marez, Teresa Brooke and Salina Hernandez. Also her sons, Rufino Hernandez, Trinidad Hernandez and Rudy Rios. And grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her two daughters, Carol Hernandez and Linda Reed.
Lydia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved family gatherings, cooking yummy dishes and baking delicious desserts. She truly loved talking and laughing with her family and friends who came by to visit. Lydia enjoyed having her nails and pedicures done and going to the casino every now and then. She also enjoyed crime TV shows and old time Western movies. She absolutely loved listening to music, her favorites were Country, Mexican and 50s and 60s music.
