

Private family funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at Mount Vernon Memorial Park and Mortuary in Fair Oaks, CA, with Rev. Amy Goodwin-Solem officiating. Burial will follow.
Mary Lou was born in North Dakota to Clarence and Minnie Holland on September 12th, 1930. She married Clarence Gene Bolling on November 14th, 1947 in Great Falls, Montana. Her marriage to Gene led to a military life of travel, living and raising their three children in Great Falls Montana, Honolulu Hawaii, Big Springs Texas, Sacramento California, Okinawa Japan, Austin Texas, San Antonio Texas and Fair Oaks California. She eventually settled in El Dorado Hills, CA where she enjoyed socializing with her family and friends, playing bingo and poker, and gardening.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by Gene, her husband of 35 years, parents Clarence and Minnie Holland, sister Edna Gould, and brothers William, Robert and Arthur Holland. Mary Lou is survived by her sisters Evelyn Haffner and Joann Goehring, and brother James Holland.
May Lou is survived by her children Cassandra Grout of Roseville, Richard Bolling of Garden Valley, and Cheryl Gwynn of Roseville; her grandchildren Ryan Kenner and wife Angela Krohn-Kenner, and Eric Grout and wife Amie Grout; her great grandchildren Kaice Ayala-Granados and husband Abraham Ayala-Granados, Taylor Kenner, Alexander Kenner, Kinsey Kenner, and Dylan Krohn; Christopher Grout and fiancé Sarah Craig, Joshua Grout, Aria Grout, and Mila Grout; and her great great grandchild Elizabeth Grout.
Memorials may be given in lieu of flowers via donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
