

Surrounded by her loving family, Marjorie Frances (Hofmeister) Hayes passed away peacefully at her home in El Dorado Hills, CA, on April 2, 2012. Born in Paulding County, Ohio to Forrest and Audrey Fish, on April 22, 1913, Marjorie was part of a family that included two sisters and three brothers. Marjorie was preceded in death by her first husband, Virgil Troas Hofmeister, who died in an automobile accident at an early age, and Wayne Hayes, her devoted husband and companion of 56 years. She was also preceded in death by sons, Jimmy, Rex, stepson Jerry, and her grandson, Michael. Marjorie leaves a treasure of wonderful memories to her surviving family members, son Roland (Tere), daughters Jane (Bob) and Troas (Mark), six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Marjorie experienced and enjoyed a vast number of interests including interior design, square and round dancing (Starlight Shufflers), several bridge clubs, and traveling to be with family. After several wonderful years at their ranch in Mt Aukum, CA, Marjorie and Wayne retired to their home in El Dorado Hills, where Marjorie lived independently until her recent passing. Fun loving, generous, independent, and always thinking of others, Mom was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed. She will be laid to rest at Mount Vernon Memorial Park in Fair Oaks, CA following a graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2012.... we love you Mom.
