

Marjorie R. Jewett of Gold River passed away on March 20, 2012 at the age of 77. Marjorie was born on February 8, 1935 to Raymond and Hildegard Knutson of West Salem, WI. After high school she attended nurses training in Milwaukee, WI and upon graduation in 1956, married Douglas Jewett, a high school classmate who was her loving and devoted husband for 55 years. She was a proud military wife and supporter of her husband’s career. When the opportunity presented itself, she returned to nursing at various locations where the family was stationed. She was recognized as a skilled and compassionate nurse for over 35 years. Marjorie enjoyed golfing, cross-stitching, and excelled at any game of cards. She was the happiest when doing activities with her family and grandsons who range in age from four to twenty-five years. Marjorie is survived by her husband; daughters Tracey Donnelly (Steve) of Sacramento and Kathleen Louie (Jeff) of Rolling Hills Estates, CA, son Daniel (Renee) of Portland, OR; seven grandsons; two sisters, Dorothy Traisman of Madison, WI and Mary Gabriel of Cedarburg, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA. There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Centerpoint Community Church, 515 Sunrise Ave, Roseville, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
