She was born in Iola Kansas on Oct. 16, 1917 and had three siblings Hazel, Leslie & Maxine. She met Robert Ray Ewen and was marred on Aug. 4th, 1937. They moved to California in 1937and lived in several towns before settling in Fair Oaks. They had two children Marjorie Ewen-Crump and Richard Ewen. After Robert’s death in 1967, she remarried Barney Shepard in 1970 who passed in 1990. She had many hobbies, including crocheting, needlepoint and also loved scrabble and crossword puzzles. In 2013 she moved into Kit Carson Nursing Home in Jackson, Ca, where she lived out the rest of her life. She was loved by everyone that met her and will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. Services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Mt. Vernon Memorial Park, 8146 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks CA. 95628.
