May 5, 1934 - March 10, 2024
Patricia "Paddy" Lee Pearson (Koepke), 89, of Rancho Cordova, California passed away naturally March 10, 2024. Patricia was raised in Raymondville, Willacy County, Texas, and born nearby May 5, 1934 - always a proud Texan. She attended the University of Texas, Austin, for 2 years hoping to be a professional woman in technical fields. She 'married' into the US Air Force with her pilot husband also from Willacy County, Texas. After 15 year and numerous locations including Central America, she settled in Rancho Cordova, California (near Mather AFB) in 1965 with her husband and 3 children. In 1970, Patricia and her husband said goodbye to the US Air Force with 20 years of service. After helping build the family business in the 1970s (Texaco and Exxon full service stations), she re-trained as both a Draftswoman and a Realtor taking up a short career in the latter.
Patricia loved rough car & trailer camping in the mountains and beaches - avoiding campgrounds and insisting on no lights, no music, an evening campfire and respectful camping ethics. In her last days, she was visualizing these memories. She pursued hobbies in lapidary and jewelry making, blackjack and she had an occasional study in astronomy. Patricia was a college competitive tennis player and also played piano and organ. She enjoyed looking at her landscaped swimming pool in the backyard. Most of all, she cherished the occasional chat with her loving neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Pearson, and her son Craig. She is survived by her brother John Koepke, her sons Gary and Mark, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be private. Enquires can be made via email [email protected].
