My dearest sweet cousin. I will miss you dearly. I miss talking to you over the phone. Now you are resting in peace with aunt Kathy, grandma and grandpap. I will always love you Renae. You will always be in our hearts.

Renee was long distance friend, a really good friend, always smiling.  We were all put together to build a truck inspection program that never existed before.  Renae was in Sacramento and I was in the Southern California El Monte office.  Many phone calls and meetings afforded our friendship and casual breaks for lunch or coffee are events I miss dearly.  After my retiring, we still had our phone calls. Hindsight says it should have been more often. Renae, you departed too soon. There is so much more happiness within you could that could be shared. Even though I have not met you in person, I have heard a lot of good things and deeds about you and how kind you were through Amy.  Now that you are in heaven with God, there is no more suffering and no more pain! God has set you free!

I met Renae in April 2010 at the California Air Resources Board.  I thought from the beginning she was a character  a woman charged with purpose and truth.  Renae knew exactly what she wanted, who she liked, what to do, and how to do it.  I admired her for that and by definition of life skills and street smarts, Renae was a freakin genius.  For those of you here today from work, you saw a special friendship develop between us.  Even despite the major differences between our upbringing, age, culture, education, and background, she and I just clicked.  We were two peas in a pod and inseparable at work.  Our jobs were not easy.  Between her and I, we were the payment and fines department, in other words the bone collectors.  We processed citations and collected monies from truck owners and drivers  the toughest and roughest of our regulated diesel industry.  We had some very wild experiences working together, some of which included shouting on the phone, pencil pointing at one another, and going to a Truckstop to write citations to idling truckers and one day receiving a rose in the most heated of moments.  At work, I was Cindy and she was my fairy godmother (I'm sure you can guess which Disney princess I was). I'll always remember the times she never hesitated to respond to me with that angry, disgruntled, yet loving look in her eye and tell me: OK, Cindy.  Those were the kind of times I shared with Renae that I will treasure forever as our special memories.

Renae was a woman of God.  She always gave me uplifting advice, reminding me of God's endless love and always leading me towards His light.  I told her one time to put her favorite verse on her desktop at work and she responded immediately with: Ephesians 6:10 to 18.  She was a firm believer, a Christ follower, and here's what she told me once that I'd like to share with you all: Put all your worries in a basket on a hot air balloon and send them to God.  He will know what to do to fix them.  BELIEVE he will send you confirmation.  Then you can rest peacefully. 

Renae  I know you are with God now.  So rest peacefully.  I know you will continue to watch over us all, especially your baby sister Lori and prince Ryan.  You will always be in our hearts, and we will always remember.  Rest in peace, Renae.

The last time we spoke on the phone, Renae told me that she loved me and I told her that I loved her. That makes me feel happy while I am feeling so sad.  Renae is younger than my daughter so I never expected this.  Her passing has absolutely broken my heart.  We kept in touch by telephone and we would sometimes talk for a couple of hours or more.  I will miss those talks and Renae so very much.  I will now pray for her every Sunday at mass like I do for all my other loved ones.  I know that she is at peace now and she surely deserves that. God, take good care of her.  She was a kind and loving person. Lori and Ryan, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I know how much you will miss her.

To my dear childhood friend Renae - You will be missed dearly. You were a big part of my childhood growing up on Olson. I remember You, Me & Becky always playing together; inseparable, earning the nickname The 3 Musketeers. Memories spent with you, Lori & your family will forever remain dear to my heart.

Renae would always tell me "Crystal, I got something for you I saw it and it reminded me of you!" Her generosity was amazing and just showed what kind of person she was. You will be truly missed, my condolences to her grieving family.

My heart is heavy with the news of Renae's sudden passing.  Renae and I worked together over 25 years and will miss our talks and laughter about the changes those 25 years brought the two of us.  I pray that Renae may finally find comfort and peace in the arms of the Angels.

Those of us who knew and worked with Renae were shocked and saddened to hear of her sudden passing. We send our deepest condolences to her family. Rest in peace, Renae.  You are missed.

Renae, you will be missed by many.  Wish we could have had the opportunity to get to know her better.  It is so sad to have family who lives so far away.  Rest in peace Renae. We pray for you.  You will always remain in our hearts.

I like Renae most for her honesty, making me laugh, and that she liked animals more than people.

Renae and I worked together for a few years and always appreciated her directness and speak her mind. She and I sure did laugh a lot together. Even though I had not seen her in awhile, I am saddened to know I wont see her again and that she left this world too soon.
