

Robert Michael Lahmann passed peacefully with two of his daughters at his side on October 6, 2018. He was born 2 January 1936 in San Jose, Costa Rica, Central America and migrated to California with his parents Guillermo Ramon Lahmann and Lorina S Lorenzen in 1938. He is preceded in death by two brothers William R Lahmann Jr and Lawrence K Lahmann, as well as granddaughter Carly Jo Lahmann, and daughter Wendy K Nyman and daughter in law Rita Lahmann. He is survived by children: Robert M Lahmann Jr, Wade P Lahmann(Samantha) Jennifer Dawid(Kenneth) Jana L Boles(John)and Jodi Lahmann. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren with one on the way.
He attended and graduated from Alameda High School, Alameda, CA where he was All State in basketball. Bob served in the Army during the Korean War, stationed in Germany as a medic. While serving there he became acquainted with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and soon joined the church. He met and married Betty Jo Beatty while a student at Brigham Young University. He graduated with a degree in Physical Education and minor in Psychology. Bob and Betty Jo were the parents of six children during their marriage which ended in divorce in 1979. He became a salesman during college and kept that profession the rest of his life until retirement. He was active in the Tempo Park ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for many years and also other wards.
There will be a family graveside service with military honors at Mt Vernon Rose Garden, Friday 26 October at 9:00 AM
