Ruth Virginia MIller Greenlee

Born January 25, 1922 In Des Moines Iowa to parents Raymond and Myrtle Miller, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on May 14, 2014 in Orangevale California. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Travis, to whom she was married to for 62 years, also preceded by her daughter JoEllen. She is survived by her children Travis Greenlee, Kevin Greenlee, and Micaela Norris; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren with the 21st arriving later this year. Before retiring to Orangevale, Ruth and Travis owned and operated a furniture moving company in the Los Angeles area, where she was the bookkeeper and took care of the office. After moving to Orangevale where they lived for 32 years, she centered her life on her home and family. After Travis’ passing in 2004, she rekindled her love for the piano and organ and she played all of her old favorites for the Folsom Senior Center and the group the “Off Key Singers”. She played for all who would listen until her health began to decline. An amazing wife, loving mother and grandmother, she will be loved and cherished by all who knew her. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, May 21 from 4:00pm-7:00pm and her celebration will be on Thursday, May 22 at 10:00am. Services will be held at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, located at 8201 Greenback Lane Fair Oaks, Ca 95628.
