Verna Jean Stinson

Verna's life was enriched by the love she shared with her late husband, Floyd David Stinson, with whom she created countless cherished moments. As a mother, she poured her heart and soul into nurturing her children, Marjorie Ellen (Tim) Lupold of St. Louis, MO, and David Floyd (Karla) Stinson of Granite Bay, CA. Her unconditional love extended to her three adored grandchildren, Timothy David “Ren” Lupold, James David Stinson, and John Floyd William "Jack" Stinson, who brought her immense joy and pride.

She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Donald, Robert, and Thomas “Leroy” Crawford, whose memories she carried with her always. Verna is survived by her sister Audrey Peters, and her beloved niece Cindy Lee Dean of New Castle, PA, who held a special place in her heart. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous other relatives and friends, each touched by her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.

After marrying Floyd in 1961, Verna made a significant move from Ellwood City, PA, to St. Louis, MO, where she raised her family. Later in 2009, she relocated to Granite Bay, CA, along with her husband Floyd. For the past 15 years, she resided with her son, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons, where she embraced family and treasured many new friends.

Verna's life was marked by her passion for family, music, poetry, and travel. Her compassionate nature, unwavering loyalty, and infectious sense of humor endeared her to all who knew her. Among her many achievements, she took pride in soloing an airplane, a testament to her adventurous spirit and determination.

A Memorial Service and Reception to celebrate Verna's life will be held on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, at 11:00am at the residence of David & Karla Stinson, located at 7936 East Hidden Lakes Drive, Granite Bay, CA.
