

Wayne was born in Eugene, Oregon on July 14, 1942, to parents Alan L. Freitag and Marjorie Audrey Monk. They had three children: Glenda Freitag, Albert LeRoy Freitag and Wayne Lee Freitag. Wayne also had two half sisters Nancy Freitag-Poer and Kathy Freitag. After high school, Wayne married Kaye Fanning in 1960 while enlisted in the United States Army. They had four children. Their names are Robert Freitag, Shelly Freitag, Eric Freitag and Brian Freitag. Wayne also had seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Wayne enlisted in the United States Army on October 22, 1962, in Oakland, California. He ascertained the rank of Private and was promoted to the rank of SP4 (T) (E-4). His title was Air Defense Missile Crewman. He received the good conduct medal. After his divorce from Kaye Fanning, Wayne married Iva Jean Patton. He became the stepfather to Michael Ricketts, Daniel Ricketts, John Ricketts, and twins Jerry Garner and Terry Garner.
Wayne worked as a civil service employee for the Department of Food and Agriculture as a federal meat inspector. In this capacity he acquired his pension. He was recognized for his proficiency, skills, honesty, integrity and his ability to train others while performing his duties.
After the death of his spouse, Wayne and his dog "Baby" moved to California to be closer to his family. His hobbies were: going to the casino with his sister-in-law Terri Freitag and playing bingo with his friends at the mobile home park. He also enjoyed watching wrestling.
Wayne will be dearly missed but not forgotten. We love you Wayne and God bless your soul.
