

William was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years Melba Galoosis, his father Constantine Galoosis his mother Gladys and Prospero Tardio, his sisters Angeline “Tootie” Galoosis and Lillian Hillegas.
He is survived by his children Belinda Whitney, Ben McClure, William Galoosis Jr., Greg McClure and John McClure. He is also survived by his brothers George Galoosis, Gus Galoosis and sisters Katherine Sakorski, Geraldine Simonds and Carol Anne Sullivan. Family was very important to William and he enjoyed his grandchildren Crystelle Knox, Rory Whitney, Kaitlin McClure, Ella McClure, Jacoby McClure and Hayley Casio as well as his great grandchildren Josiah Knox, Micaiah Knox, Keturah Knox and Julie Whitney.
William was born in Brooklyn NY in 1938 and at the age of 20 joined the US Air Force where he proudly served for 3 years. He became a full time fire fighter in 1966 for the Carmichael Fire District where he served for 28 years. He retired from the American River Fire District in 1994 at the rank of Engineer. William was extremely proud of his career in the fire service. William was very active with the Carmichael Elks Lodge where he was a member for 38 years. He was honored as the Carmichael Elk of the year for 2011-2012.

Friends are welcome to attend the funeral November 27, 2015 at 10:00am at Mt Vernon Memorial Park & Mortuary Located at 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks CA.
