William S. "Bill" Reeves, Sept. 7, 1922 – Sept. 15, 2012, was born in Shannon County, MO, near the town of Winona. Some of his fondest memories include growing up on the farm—without electricity. In 1942, he enlisted in the Navy, where he served his time, until 1946, on the U.S. ship LST 49. After WWII he traveled to California, where, in 1947, he married his wife of 50 years, Delores "Babe" Reeves, who passed away in 1997. Bill began working for AT&T soon after WWII, and retired after 35 years service in 1983. Bill was a avid golfer, which continued until 2009. He also engaged in woodworking, building toys, furniture, etc., until 2008, when Alzheimer's disease caused a continual decline in his desire to do things he once enjoyed. He is survived by married son Chris (Sharron) 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and other family members who will miss him. Services will be held Friday, September 28th, at 12:00 noon at Bayside Church of Citrus Heights, 6540 Sylvan Rd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610.
