Alicia "Licha" Vasquez earned her angel wings on Monday, January 11, 2021 in Hebbronville, Texas at the age of 55. She was born on December 23, 1965 in Falfurrias, Texas to Benito and Anastacia G. Vasquez. Licha worked at the Jim Hogg County Auditor’s office for 35 years. She was made Assistant Auditor on January 1, 1995 under District Judge, Ricardo H. Garcia. She was dedicated, hardworking, and very knowledgeable.

Licha enjoyed spending time with her sisters/best friends playing Bingo and Loteria. She always looked forward to having sisters’ days, whether it was a trip to the movies, a day of shopping or a nice dinner. What Licha loved more than anything, were her nieces and nephews whom they all considered her a second Mom. She never hesitated to help them in any way she could. She always put them first, and adored each and every one of them.

Her presence will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ruben (Juby) Vasquez; sister, Nora Vasquez; niece, Melissa Vasquez and brother-in-law, Joel Reyna.

Alicia leaves behind many fond memories that will be treasured by her siblings, Benita (Placido) Vasquez of Hebbronville, Oscar (Luisa) Vasquez of Lufkin, Texas, Norma (+ Joel) Reyna and Vicky (Robert) Rodriguez both of Hebbronville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the current ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, services are for family only with a maximum of 25 people allowed at the funeral home and church. Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville. As a fellow classmate of sweet, Alicia, I know she will be dearly missed by all who loved her. She was the greatest aunt to her nephews and nieces.
