Amelia Perez

Amelia Perez entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at her residence in Falfurrias, Texas, at the age of 74. She was born on May 26, 1951, to Petra Ramirez Perez in Falfurrias, where she would spend her life rooted in family, love, and quiet strength. Before retiring, Amelia dedicated many years as a home health provider with Health Care Unlimited, compassionately caring for others as if they were her own.

Amelia’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved them deeply and unconditionally, treasuring every moment spent together. She was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren, always placing their needs before her own and giving of herself with a selfless and generous heart. Though she was gentle, quiet, and humble in nature, her strength and faith were unwavering and carried her through life’s challenges.

In her simple, peaceful way, Amelia found happiness in the things she loved; her plants, watching wrestling and football, and being surrounded by those she loved. She was the glue that kept her family connected. Her presence brought comfort, her love brought unity, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She was welcomed into Heaven by the Lord and reunited with her parents; husband, Alberto Rosas Sr.; sons, Gerardo “Gary” Rosas and Alberto “Wero” Rosas Jr.; daughter, Benita Jolin Rosas Garza; many siblings and beloved family members.

Amelia is survived by her sons, Arnulfo Rosas of Falfurrias, and Michael (Stephanie) Rosas of Hebbronville; daughters, Debra (Noel Barrera) Rosas of Falfurrias, Pauline (Edgar Chavez) Rosas of Falfurrias, Crystal (Marleena Ortiz) Rosas of Premont, Texas, and Anita (Manuel Benavidez) Rosas of Falfurrias; sisters, Jane (Hector) Perez of Odem, Texas, and Josefa Cabrera of Premont; 36 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Hanna, Bryan Hanna, Chris Rosas, EJ Rosas, Anthony Rosas, Michael Rosas, Arnulfo Rosas, and Derek Rosas.
