Aurora Chavana Rodriguez

Aurora Chavana Rodriguez entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at a hospital in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 83. Aurora was born on July 26, 1932 to Justo Chavana and Elvira Garza Chavana in Brooks County, Texas. Aurora retired as the City Manager for the city of Falfurrias after 33 years of service. She was very devoted to her religion and family. She loved to spend time on the ranch and she loved flowers and tending to her plants. As Aurora entered into the gates of Heaven, she was reunited with her parents; her brother, Justo Alfonzo Chavana and her sister, Adelfa Longoria. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Noe R. Rodriguez of Falfurrias; two sons, Ariel Rodriguez of Houston, Texas and Gabriel Rodriguez of Odessa, Texas; one daughter, Araceli Zeitvogel of San Antonio, Texas; three brothers, Adan (Bertha) Chavana, Adolfo Chanava and Amadeo Chavana all of Port Lavaca, Texas; one sister, Audelia (Juan) Longoria of Corpus Christi, Texas, three grandchildren, Daniella Inez Rodriguez, Kyle Rodriguez and Arianna Rodriguez and many nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
