

We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father, Carlos G. Guerra, Jr., who left this world on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. He has now found eternal peace in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Carlos departed peacefully in his sleep, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family, a testimony to the warmth and connection he cultivated throughout his life.
Born on May 1, 1946, in Zapata, Texas, to Carlos Guerra and Maria Sacramento G. Guerra, he was a beacon of love and strength, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. Carlos was not only a devoted father and grandfather but also a man of remarkable character, known for his patience, inspiration, and passion for music. He was without a doubt loved and cherished by many and the memories he created with his family and friends will be cherished forever, a true testament to the profound impact he had on their lives.
He was welcomed into the gates of Heaven and embraced by his parents, loving wife, Maria Cristina Guerra, and brother, Cesar Guerra.
His legacy is one of love and kindness, and he will be deeply missed by his daughters, Cynthia Laura Guerra of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Celina Lorin (David) Hernandez of Bishop, Texas; grandsons, David Michael Hernandez and Gabriel Anthony Hernandez; brothers, Juan (+Laura & +Elvia) Cavazos of Kingsville, Texas, Ruben (Mona) Cavazos of Kyle, Texas, Alfredo (+Rosie) Cavazos of Buda, Texas; sisters, Abigail (Homero) Castillo of Kingsville, and Carmen Pacheco of Detroit, Michigan and many extended family members.
Visitation will start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025 with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Interment will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
