Chavelo Palacios Jr.

Isabel “Chavelo” Palacios, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 19, 2024 at his residence in Bruni, Texas, surrounded by his family, at the age of 68. He was born on April 25, 1956 in Laredo, Texas to Isabel Palacios and Maria Lorenza Mendoza Palacios.

Chavelo was reunited in Heaven by his parents; brothers, Regino Palacios and Jose Palacios and brother-in-law, Joe Meza.

He leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Sylvia Palacios of Bruni; children, Nancy (Adrian) Alaniz of Freer, Texas, Andrea (Jennifer) Palacios of San Antonio, Texas, Jesus Chavelo (Monica) Palacios of San Antonio, Armando Rene (Vanessa) Palacios of Laredo, Texas and Angela Palacios of Bruni; siblings, Rosa Martinez of Laredo, Lorenza P. Meza of Bruni, Dora Palacios of Laredo, Rene (Minerva) Palacios of Hebbronville, Texas, Raul (Grace) Palacios of Laredo, Guadalupe (Jose Antonio) Diaz of Bruni, Carlota (Willie, III) Reyes of Bruni and Manuel (Connie) Palacios of Hebbronville; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Jesus Chavelo Palacios, Armando Rene Palacios, Willie Reyes, III, Adrian Alaniz, Rene Palacios and Raul Palacios.

Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Hebbronville where services will conclude.
