Cleofas Hinojosa Sr.

Cleofas Hinojosa, Sr., 87, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on February 4, 1924 to Felipe Hinojosa and Juvencia Garza Hinojosa in Brooks County, Texas. Cleofas worked as a carpenter for several different companies until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Guadalupe Q. Hinojosa and two brothers Leonel and Oscar Hinojosa. He is survived by his three sons Cleofas Hinojosa, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, Alvaro (Alicia) Hinojosa of San Antonio, TX and Leonel Hinojosa of Premont, TX, two daughters Maria Elena (Jimmy) Vera of Premont, TX and Magdalena (Russell) Hinojosa of McAllen, TX, five sisters Raquel Ramos of Mexico, Emma Salinas of Roma, TX, Julia Saenz of Falfurrias, TX, Alicia (Luis) Ramos of Romas, TX and Rebeca Sarabia of Roma, TX, 11 grandchildren Anna Lisa (Steve) LaFuente of Premont, TX, Marco Antonio (Shawn) DeLeon of Angleton, TX, Lisa Marie (Nick) Gonzalez of San Antonio, TX, Jennifer (Aaron) Olson of Fort Brag, NC, Felipe A. Hinojosa of California, Meagan Hinojosa of San Marcos, TX, Nicholas Hinojosa of San Antonio, TX, Chelsea Hinojosa of San Marcos, TX, Bradley Williams of McAllen, TX and James Vera of Premont, TX, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont, Texas.

Interment will follow at the Premont Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Marco DeLeon, Felipe Hinojosa, Nicholas Hinojosa, Bradley Williams, Steve LaFuente and Nick Gonzalez.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Toby DeLeon, Dos LaFuente and Timothy Gonzalez.
