Dario P. Garza

Dario P. Garza, 69, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 with his family by his side. He courageously battled cancer and yet always kept his humor. He was born on October 25, 1941 in Hebbronville, Texas to Rafael and Ester P. Garza. He proudly retired from the petroleum industry where he worked as an oilfield worker for 32 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He enjoyed doing yard work and landscaping on his spare time. Dario enjoyed getting together with his friends for coffee every morning. He also enjoyed dancing, listening to cumbias and polkas and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered by his sense of humor and personality. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Dario is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jesus, Rafael and Emilio Garza, sisters Josefina Gracia, Celia Soliz and Maria de Jesus Garza. Dario leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Elida A. Garza of Hebbronville, TX, three sons Jesus Dario (Valeri Delgado) Garza of Corpus Christi, TX, Mario (Ramona) Garza and Joe Ray (Rachel) Garza both of Mathis, TX, seven daughters Lucinda (Robert) Gutierrez of Mathis, TX, Suelinda (J.D.Baez) Martinez of Beeville, TX, Patricia (Jorge) Garza, Anna (Richard) Vela both of Hebbronville, TX, Velma (Jesse) Rodriguez of Hutto, TX, Rose (J.D. Pantoja) Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, TX and Laura Garza (Jason) Perkins of Calallen, TX, sisters Hortencia Rivera of Hebbronville, TX, Estella (Salome) Soliz and Ninfa Santos both of Corpus Christi, TX, 33 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville with visitation starting at 4:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2011 at the Immaculate Catholic Church in Hebbronville.

Interment will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
