

David Lee Nevarez, 37, was called by our Lord on April 18, 2012. He was born on May 21, 1974 in Laredo, Texas to Felipe Nevarez and Leticia Rodriguez Nevarez. David was a State Trooper II for eight years after eight years of service as the Captain for the Jim Hogg County Sheriff's Department. David fought a courageous battle with cancer until the good Lord called him home. He was also always there to help people at their time of need and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Felipe Nevarez, Sr. and maternal grandparents, Cesario and Trinidad Rodriguez. He is survived by his wife, Kim O. Nevarez; son, David Lee Nevarez, Jr.; daughter, Laylah Marie Nevarez; parents, Felipe Nevarez, Jr. and Letty R. Nevarez; brothers, Felipe (Dora Lisa) Nevarez, IV and Michael (Adriana) Nevarez all of Hebbronville, Texas; paternal grandmother, Francisca Nevarez of Falfurrias, Texas; parents-in-law, Robert Saenz, Jr.and Pat Saenz of Falfurrias, Texas; grandfather-in-law, Jesus Lopez of Falfurrias, Texas; 5 nieces; 1 nephew and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville.
Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be from the State Troopers Unit -Sergeant Cornelio Flores, Oscar Garza, Roberto Hernandez, Danny Martinez, Joshua Coleman, Daniel Pina, Conrad Hein and Ramon Fariasand his brothers Felipe and Michael Nevarez.
