

Dora Lisa Nevarez entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at a hospital in Laredo, Texas at the age of 50. She was born on September 23, 1970 in Freer, Texas to Abundio Garza and Norma Lichtenberger.
She loved to cook, listen to music, spend time with her children, grandchildren and aunt Celia that was always there. She was also a die hard Cowboys fan and especially enjoyed watching Phillip baseball games.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Joey Garza and step-father, Ponciano Chapa.
Her fond memories will be treasured by her husband, Felipe Nevarez, IV; children, Nichole (Ruben Ruiz) Nevarez and Felipe Nevarez, V all of Hebbronville, Texas; mother, Norma Chapa of El Campo, Texas; father, Abundio Garza of Freer; siblings, Sandra Garza of Freer, Angel Ybanez of New Mexico, Ramiro (Cindy) Garza of Corpus Corpus Christi, Texas and Gabriel (Zandra) Garza both of Friendswood, Texas; Letty Chapa and Emede Reyes both of Corpus Christi and Noel (Michelle) Reyes of San Antonio, Texas; sister-in-law, Michelle Garza of Freer; three grandchildren, Ruben Ruiz, IV, Aryna Ruiz and Anistyn Ruiz; parents-in-law, Felipe Nevarez, III and Letty Nevarez of Hebbronville and many extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Michael Nevarez, Oscar Ramirez, C.J. Garza, John Ybanez, Albert Lichtenberger, Ramiro Garza, Gabriel Garza and Ruben Ruiz, III. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ruben Ruiz, IV, David Lee Nevarez, Jr., Emede Reyes and Noel Reyes.
Holy Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville and services will conclude with Burial at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
