Elia R. Garza entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 9, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on January 24, 1931 to Jose Blas Ramirez and Eulalia A. Ramirez in Falfurrias, TX. She was married on October 7, 1956 to Daniel L. Garza.
She loved to spend time with her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. She enjoyed watching her birds and her cat. She loved going to all her grandkids, great grandkids extracurricular activities . She loved baking and cooking for her children, grandkids, nephews, and nieces.
She will be greatly missed by her family.
Elia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Xavier Garza, her grandbaby Gabriella Garza, son in law Jose Anselmo Garza of Harlingen, TX., five brothers, Jesus, Roberto, Jose Oscar, Rudy and Rufino Ramirez all of Falfurrias, TX., and one sister, Cristela R. Garcia also of Falfurrias, TX.
She leaves behind many precious memories that will be treasured by her children, Daniel Garza, Juan Jose Garza from Falfurrias, TX., Velma O. Garza of Harlingen, TX. and her daughter in law Aggie R. Garza of Falfurrias, TX.; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; 3 great great granchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family
Pallbearers will be Daniel Garza III, Johnny Garza, Vinson Garza, Xavier Garza Jr., Oscar Garcia, Rolando Ramirez, Roy Ramirez and Orlando Villarreal.
Holy rosary will be recited on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, Falfurrias with visitation starting at 6:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.
Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
