Enrique Gutierrez Jr.

Enrique Gutierrez, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 14, 2016 at a nursing home in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 77. He was born on December 8, 1938 to Enrique Gutierrez, Sr. and Maria Ybarra Gutierrez in Rialitos, Texas. Enrique retired from the City of Falfurrias where he worked in the sanitation department for over 25 years. He was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by his parents; sister, Lydia Gutierrez and half-brother, Jose Ignacio Canales. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Naida S. Gutierrez of Falfurrias and two daughters, Noela Champion of San Antonio, Texas and Maria J. (Sylvester) Chapa of McAllen, Texas. He is also survived by four sisters, Amelia Guerra of Ricardo, Texas, Elisa (Jose Q.) Silguero, Florinda Gutierrez and Eva Gutierrez all of Kingsville; four grandchildren, Michelle Renee Cantu, Jacob Cantu, Silvestre “Sly” Chapa and Samuel Chapa and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation to beginning at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Services will conclude with a burial at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
