Fidela Z. Maldonado

Fidela Z. Maldonado entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 9, 2021 at her residence in Falfurrias at the age of 66. She was born on December 28, 1954 to Manuel Zuniga, Sr. and Beatrice Vecchio Zuniga in Alice, Texas.

Fidela worked for over 30 years as a Paraprofessional, with Brooks County ISD, in Falfurrias. Family meant everything to her and she enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was taking trips with her grandchildren and grandchildren knew they were her world.

She was reunited in Heaven with her parents; siblings, Norma Zuniga, Pablo Zuniga, Nora Villa and Ovidio Zuniga and brother-in-law, Joe Trevino.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Flavio Maldonado; daughters, Norma Maldonado of Falfurrias, Maggie (Jacob) Ogdee of Harker Heights, Texas and Zelda (Isi) Salazar of Austin, Texas; brothers, Manuel Zuniga, Jr. of Mathis, Texas and Santos (Terri) Zuniga of Beeville, Texas; sisters, Viola (Daniel) Del Bosque and Marivel Trevino both of Falfurrias and Raelene (Ray Proctor) Ellett of George West, Texas; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Salazar, Shane Garza, Zoe Ogdee and Ariana Garza and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Services will conclude with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.
