Florentino “Tino” Amado Zamora entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 27, 2025, at his home in Falfurrias, Texas, at the age of 73. Born on November 18, 1951, to Abel and Clemencia Garza Zamora, Tino lived a life marked by hard work, love, and an unwavering dedication to those he held dear.
A devoted CDL truck driver, Tino built a career with NOV, where he worked tirelessly for many years before retiring. Yet, retirement could not quiet his industrious spirit, and he continued to contribute to his community through local work in Falfurrias. Tino was known for his heart of gold—a man who would move mountains for his loved ones. With a quick wit and a love for laughter, he brought smiles to the faces of everyone he met, earning the affection and admiration of countless friends and family members.
Florentino was joyfully reunited in the arms of the Lord with his beloved wife, Maria “Mary” Estela Zamora, his mother, Clemencia Garza Zamora, and his father, Abel Zamora.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his son, Fabian Ariel Zamora, and daughter, Rita Mayela Zamora, both of Falfurrias. He is also survived by his devoted sister, Mary Diaz Zamora, and her husband, Sam Diaz, of Mission; his nephew, Jason Diaz; and nieces, Ashely Diaz and Jessica Diaz. Tino’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of his cousins, friends, extended family, and all those fortunate enough to have shared in his laughter and kindness.
May his soul find eternal peace, and may his life serve as a testament to the beauty of love, family, and selfless generosity.
