

Gloria G. Salazar passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at a hospital in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 86. She was born December 4, 1930 to Pedro and Carlota Buentello Gonzalez in the small Texas town called Hebbronville with in the county of Jim Hogg. Gloria was a lifelong housewife. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Antonio I. Salazar; brother, Manuel F. Gonzalez and her nephew, Humberto Garza.
She is survived by her son, Antonio I. (Maria Jovita) Salazar, Jr. of Wallis, Texas; sister, Juanita Albesa (Hector Deceased) Garza of Falfurrias, Texas; three grandchildren, Monica K. (Ian) Supak of New Orleans, Louisiana, Antonio I. (Jacki) Salazar, III of Rosenberg, Texas and Marta L. (Gilbert) Benjamin of New Orleans; five great-grandchildren, Isabella Maria Supak, Gabriella Belen Salazar, Avett Salazar, Luna Benjamin and Gilbert A. Benjamin, Jr.; sister-in-law, Reyes (Manuel) Gonzalez of Spring Valley, Illinois and nieces and nephews, Manuel Gonzalez, Jr., Pedro Gonzalez, Linda Gonzalez, Margot Gonzalez, Adriana (Lupe) Lemus, Hector (Olivia) Garza. Jr., Homero (Lupita) Garza, Albert (Irene) Garza and Jesus Garza.
Visitation will start at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017 with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville, Texas.
Private burial will take place at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
