Guadalupe H. Cantu passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at a hospital in Laredo, Texas at the age of 77. He was born on September 3, 1937 to Manuel Cantu and Pilar Cantu in Oilton, Texas. He worked in the oil field industry as a Gauger. Guadalupe was greeted at the gates of Heaven by his parents and his grandson, Omar Cantu. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife, Graciela Morales Cantu of Oilton, Texas; three sons, Isaac (Lucy) Cantu of Seguin, Texas; Orlando (Janie) Cantu and Horacio (Sylvia) Cantu both of Oilton; daughter, Pilar (Tony, III) Flores of Hebbronville, Texas; grandson that he raised, Orlando (Marissa) Cantu, Jr. of Hebbronville; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Isaac Cantu, Orlando Cantu, Horacio Cantu, Jr. Orlando Cantu, Jr., Tony Flores, III and Tony Flores, Jr.
Rosary will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with visitation beginning at 8:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Services will conclude with burial at the Magnolia Cemetery in Mirando City.
