Hazel was a member of the The First Baptist Church of Hebbronville where on February 15, 1964 she married the love of her life Edward James Stehlik.
She attended Hebbronville High School and was a member of the Class of 1961. After high school she attended the Texas Academy of Art of Houston. She was a talented artist and seamstress.
Hazel enjoyed playing games during activity time at Meridian Care. She loved Sunday afternoon when Clark Rossi sang gospel songs and Pastor Johnny led a prayer service at the nursing home. She would tap her toes and sing along with Clark.
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Stehlik of Orange, Texas; four grandchildren, Brittney Hankins, Kimberly Elkins, Rebecca Seidenberger, Max Seidenberger and numerous great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at the Greenhill Cemetery in Jim Hogg, Texas.
