Humberto "Manzano" R. Gonzalez

Humberto R. “Manzano” Gonzalez entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 74. He was born on October 30, 1944 to Miguel Gonzalez and Tomasita Lopez Gonzalez in Falfurrias, Texas. Humberto worked for many years at the Villarreal Supermarket and at Las Palmas Veterinary Clinic. He lastly worked for over 13 years until his retirement with Brooks County ISD as a Janitor.

Humberto is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raul Gonzalez and sister, Aida Gonzalez. He is survived by his sons, Humberto R. “Bertie” (Jessica Sanchez) Gonzalez, Jr. of Falfurrias, Arnulfo “Arnie” (Elizabeth) Gonzalez, Jr. of Premont, Texas and Jose A. “Tucker” Sanchez, III of La Gloria, Texas; brothers, Miguel Gonzales, Jr. of Rockport, Texas, Eloy Gonzalez of Bay City, Texas and Santos Gonzalez of McAllen, Texas; sisters, Sylvia Gonzalez of McAllen, Idalia Zuniga of Falfurrias and Odilia Ramirez of Falfurrias; many grandchildren and numerous extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Wesley L. Whitman, Alejandro Tabares, Jr., Joel Vargas, Roel Ramirez, Santos O. Gonzalez and Miguel Gonzalez, III.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Hector Tijerina, Poncho Garcia, Raul Trevino, III and Romeo Salinas.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
