On April 3, 1980, a candle was lit for Jessica Jo Narvaez and it burned brightly for 39 years as she lived her life with such illumination and radiance. Over the past year, her light began to dim and slowly flicker until it perished on Friday, October 4, 2019. Jessica was surrounded by her loving family in San Antonio, Texas as a flight of angels sang her to her eternal sunset.
As God reached down and declared Jessica ready for her new journey in the eternal majesty of Heaven, he reunited her with her father, Jaime Ruelas, Sr.; her paternal grandparents, Luisa Ruelas and Guadalupe Ruelas; her maternal grandparents, Humbelina Vasquez and Alfredo Vasquez and her mother-in-law, Evanelia Narvaez.
Her sunrise was on April 3, 1980 in Falfurrias, Texas. She was the first of four children born to Jaime Ruelas, Sr. and Connie Vasquez Ruelas. Jessica was such a blessing to everyone she made contact with. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, relative and friend. Throughout her life, she worked for many years as a CNA and Home Health Provider. Jessica took great pleasure in helping others and spreading her contagious smile and laugh. She had such love and pride for her four children, nieces and nephews.
Jessica’s precious memories will be treasured forever by her husband, Daniel Narvaez of Falfurrias; children, Brandon Narvaez, Nicole Acevedo, Daniel Narvaez, Jr. and Aubrie Narvaez all of Falfurrias; mother, Connie Ruelas of Falfurrias; three siblings, Monica R. (Arturo) Garcia of Calallen, Texas, Jaime (Idalia) Ruelas, Jr. and Lyndsey Ruelas all of Falfurrias; special aunt and second mother, Alicia Cantu of Falfurrias and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Orlando Narvaez, Charlie Silvas, Larry Silvas, Joe Martinez, Ryan Hofstetter, Rick Martinez, Rafael Narvaez, Michael Barrera and Albert Martinez.
Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
