Jose Leopoldo Garcia Sr.

Jose Leopoldo Garcia, Sr. of Falfurrias, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at a nursing home in Robstown, Texas at the age of 87. Jose was born on June 11, 1930 to Jose Maria Garcia, Sr. and Maria Angelita Gutierrez Garcia in Falfurrias. He worked as a Ranch-Hand for many years until his retirement.

Jose was reunited in Heaven with his parents; wife, Maria Elva Pena Garcia; daughter, San Juanita Garcia Cantu; granddaughter, Brenda Figueroa; brothers, Pedro Garcia, Bernardo Garcia, Cruz Garcia and Jose Maria Garcia, Jr. and sisters, Marcela Gonzalez, Maria Garcia and Antonia Villarreal.

He leaves behind to remember all the memories his daughter, Angelita G. Longoria of Falfurrias; five sons, Jose Leopoldo Garcia, Jr. of Kingsville, Texas, Isifredo Garcia, Ramon Garcia, Eliazar Garcia and Maximo Garcia all of Falfurrias; three sisters, Manuela Gonzalez, Rosa Longoria and Petra Sanchez all of Falfurrias; 57 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation to begin at 8:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
