Jose Tomas "J.T." Gonzalez entered into eternal rest on April 24, 2018. He was born on May 21, 1965 in Ashland, Ohio to Julio Gonzalez and Andrea Contreras Gonzalez. Jose had a passion for hunting and fishing. He adored the late singer, Selena Quintanilla Perez and enjoyed going to rummage sales.
Jose fought a life long battle with kidney disease. He had three kidney transplants, endured many hours of dialysis and spent countless stays at hospitals. Although this was tough, he always kept his faith and hope that God would help him thru each and every crisis. He was a tough fighter till the very end and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father; uncles, Beto Gonzalez, Enrique Gonzalez and Virgilio Contreras and aunt, Rachael Jackson. He is survived by his mother, Andrea C. Gonzalez of Hebbronville, Texas; brothers, Javier (Martha) Gonzalez of Austin, Texas and Julio Eloy (Teresa) Gonzalez of Las Vegas, Nevada; nephews, Alex and Jose Javier "J.J." Gonzalez, Greg and Jeff Barnes; niece, Perla Valles and many extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Tomas Mendez, Jr., Esteban Leal, Mario Fabela, Biggens Rossi, Juan Perez, Jr. and Nazor.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with a visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
