Manuel M. Alaniz Jr.

Manuel Martin Alaniz, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 81. He was born on December 8, 1938 to Manuel Martin Alaniz, Sr. and Cruz De Leon Alaniz in Falfurrias, Texas. Manuel was a proud Army Veteran. He worked for the city of Premont for serval years and enjoyed playing golf in his spare time. He was also a Dallas Cowboys football fan and loved watching the games on TV.

Manuel was reunited in Heaven with his parents; son-in-law, Mark Anthony Cantú and brother-in-law, George Swann.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Idalia Maldonado Alaniz of Premont, Texas; sons, Xavier Martin (Renee) Alaniz of Lometa, Texas, Orlando Noe Alaniz and Mark Alaniz both of Premont, Homer (Josie) Palacios and Amando (Diana) Palacios both of San Antonio, Texas and Humberto Palacios of Premont; daughters, Nora Alaniz-Cantú of Cruz Calle, Texas, Sonia (Lucas) Barrera of Premont, Rosie (Anthony) Bryant of California and Annette Rios of Rios, Texas; brothers, Arnoldo Alaniz of Premont and Gilberto Alaniz of Kingsville, Texas; sisters, Maryann (Agapito) Ramirez and Belinda Swann both of Premont; 24 grandchildren, Sitarra Marie (Gabriel) Pulido, Seth Christian (Summer) Cantú, Sia Isabella Cantú, Blayne (Kristen) Alaniz, Justus Alaniz, Maclinta Alaniz, Dustin Gutierrez, Bailey Recio, Vanessa (Antonio) Alaniz, OJ Alaniz, Kirsten Lottie Alaniz and Kristian Alaniz, Angelica Palacios, Sergio Palacios, Rick Palacios, Simon Palacios, Amando Palacios, Jr., Teresa Palacios, Armando Palacios, Humberto Palacios, Jr., Nathaniel Bryant, Athena Bryant, Cassandra Rios, Celeste Rios and Angel Moreno; great-grandchildren, Cruz Pulido, Jude Pulido, Sophie Cantú, Brett Alaniz, Bonnie Alaniz, Vivienne Gutierrez, Penelope Sabrine Garza, Ismael Castillo, Antonio Castillo, III and many more; nieces and nephews, Toye (Don) Gandy, Cristina (Tom) Dowdle, Gabriel Garcia, Angie (Henry) Ybarra, Marla (Ray) Hernandez, Arnold Alaniz, Jr. and many more and many more extended family members.
