Margarita C. Carrejo Cantu

Margarita C. Cantu, 95, passed away Monday November 8, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on January 20, 1915 to Jose Carrejo and Susana Maldonado Carrejo in San Diego, Texas. Margarita was a dedicated housewife, mother and grandmother. Margarita is preceded in death by her parents; husband Fidel R. Cantu; brothers Marcial and Gabriel Carrejo; sisters Josefina Vela and Maria Carrejo and daughter Diana Cantu. She is survived by her three sons Fidel Cantu Jr., Rene Cantu and Robert (Hope) Cantu; two daughters Norma (Humberto) Isassi and Nelda (Robert) Meyer; 14 grandchildren Michael Cantu, Erika (Jason) Vaughn, Jeanette Cantu, Rene (Billie) Cantu Jr., Daniel (Victoria) Cantu, Humberto (Janet) Isassi Jr., Gabriel (Diana) Isassi, Jennifer (Tad) Hankins, Michael Cavazos, Cpl (USMC) Joshua Cantu, Ashley Meyer, Nathan Meyer, Jacalyn Meyer and Jessica Meyer and eight great-grandchildren Victoria Cantu, Christian Cantu, Andrew Cantu, Davin Trevino, June Isassi, Morgan Hankins, Jacob Hankins and Jayce Hankins.

Pallbearers will be Michael Cantu, Rene Cantu Jr., Nathan Meyer, Humberto Isassi Jr., Gabriel Isassi, Daniel Cantu and Michael Cavazos.

Honorary pallbearer will be Cpl. Joshua Cantu USMC.

Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 10, 2010 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday November 11, 2010 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams with Rev. Vicente Garcia officiating.

Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
