Paul Grimes Sr.

Paul Grimes, Sr., 78, entered into eternal rest on Thursday morning, June 6, 2013, where he was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by the Lord and is now resting in His righteous presence. Paul was born on September 24, 1934 to Jesse A. Grimes, Sr. and Tomasita Garcia Grimes in Falfurrias, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and later worked for the Texas Highway and Public Transportation Department for over 30 years until his retirement. Paul reunited in Heaven with his parents; his brothers, Jesse Grimes, Jr. and Joe Grimes; sisters, Tommie Moralez, Louise Perez and Pearl Grimes and his grandson, Paul Grimes, III.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife of over 56 years, Maria Elena Flores Grimes of Falfurrias, Texas; sons, Paul (Berlinda) Grimes, Jr. of Cal Allen, Texas and Bobby (Juanita) Grimes, Sr. of Kingsville, Texas; daughter, Glenda (Joe Longoria) Grimes of Falfurrias, Texas; brother, David Grimes of Houston, Texas; sister, Susan Garza of Laredo, Texas; two grandchildren, Emily Kaytie Grimes of Corpus Christi, Texas and Robert Steven Grimes, II of Kingsville, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.

Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
