Mrs. Benavidez is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gildardo M. Benavidez; son, Gilbert Benavidez, Jr.; and daughter, Consuelo “Connie” Benvaidez.
She is survived by three sons, Noe Benavidez of Houston, TX, Nick (Minerva) Benavidez of Fresno, TX, and Onofre Benavidez of San Antonio, TX; three daughters, Sylvia Benavidez of Rosenburg, TX, Delia B. (Steve) Chacon of Needville, TX and Diana B. (Ruben) Gamez of Spring, TX; three sisters Irma G. Haley of Houston, TX, Tina G. Tomerlin of San Antonio, TX, and Mandina G. Carbajal of Corpus Christi, TX; 21 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 07, 2013 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.
Burial will follow at the Benavidez Family Cemetery in Los Olmos.
