Annie Elizabeth Deamer

Annie Elizabeth Deamer, formerly Annie Graham, (1934-2023) longtime resident of Palatine, IL passed away on December 20, 2023 in Oak Park, IL. Annie was a straight A student in high school, where she met her future husband John F. Deamer, known as Red. Annie and Red went on to have 5 children: Nancy Jean (Joseph), Kathleen Ann (Kevin), John Francis Jr., Margaret Mary and Eileen Susanne (Richard).

Annie was primarily a homemaker and mother, and brilliant at it. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with her whole heart. Her grandchildren include John F. Deamer III, Jason Garcia- LoBue, Jennifer LoBue, Steven Wroblewski, Elizabeth Deamer, Amy Hampson, Melissa Deamer, Andrew Farraher, Graham Nagle-Deamer, and Annie Deamer-Nagle.

While both Annie and Red came from humble beginnings, after much hard work, they went on to live comfortably. Annie loved to travel all over: from Europe to Canada to Japan to Mexico. One of her favorite places was Ireland, where her father William was born in Belfast before making the journey to America alone at age 11.

In addition to traveling, Annie loved reading romance novels, watching her soaps, doing puzzles, going to the hairdresser, eating out at gourmet restaurants, shopping for her kids, singing, and supporting her family.

A visitation will be held from 10 am-12 pm on Wednesday December 27, 2023 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Rd., Forest Park, IL, 60130. With a Celebration of Life service starting promptly at 12 pm. A private Interment will take place at a later date. For more information please call 708-442-8500.
