Arlene Bette Klimas, a longtime resident of North Riverside, devoted wife, sister, and aunt, passed away on May 12, 2025, at the age of 90.
Born on September 26, 1934, to Bertha (nee Sotola) and Edward Shubert, Arlene was a proud alumna of Morton High School in Cicero, IL, Class of 1951. In February 1963, she married Bernard J. Klimas, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage until his passing in November 2016.
Arlene will be lovingly remembered for her warmth and dedication to her family. She is survived by her sisters, Beverly L. Shubert and Dorothy M. Hovan (Robert J. Hovan), and her nephews, Jason E. Hovan and Alexander J. Hovan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard J. Klimas.
A visitation will be held at 11:00 AM until time of Prayer Service 1 PM, Friday, May 30, 2025, at Woodlawn Funeral Home 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, IL 60130.
Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
