Arnold Leroy Glass Sr.

Arnold L. Glass Sr., a United States Marine Corp. Veteran, of Maywood, Illinois passed away with dignity on July 16, 2022. Beloved husband of 55 years to Cecelia (Jackson) Glass and loving father of Arnold L. Glass II (Cassonia), and Tonya Glass. Cherished grandfather of Shonari Phillips and Jayla Glass. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Arnold was a quintessential family man who provided sage advice for all who would listen. As an advocate for social justice, Arnold attended the Million Man March and Walk in Selma. For over 50 years, Arnold was employed by, and dedicated to Jewel Osco as a transportation driver. Arnold was also a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran and served during the Vietnam War. During his retirement, Arnold enjoyed golf, sports, and cultivated a love for Asian Culture and Luxury. Participating in the Hyde Park High School Club was a highlight, and he cherished the friendships he nurtured over 60 years.

A visitation for Arnold will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, Illinois 60130. A funeral service is being held Friday, July 29, 2022 at 11 am, Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, Illinois 60130, followed by a private burial.
