Fernando, a proud father of six, grandfather of sixteen, and great-grandfather of another sixteen, his life was filled with the joy of his family. He treasured every moment spent around the table — playing cards or dominoes, sharing stories, and especially going out to breakfast with his daughters. These simple joys became sacred traditions, the kind that will live on in every meal, every laugh, and every game played in his memory.
We remember Fernando not with sorrow alone, but with immense love and joy. We celebrate the man who took bold steps so that his family could walk an easier path. His courage gave us comfort. His sacrifices gave us opportunities. His spirit gave us strength.
Though Fernando fought bravely for so long in his later years, he carried it with remarkable strength and quiet dignity. Now that he is free from struggle and his long journey has come to a gentle close, a new beginning has dawned and his presence will forever echo in our hearts. May he guide us from above with the same steady hand he offered in life. We thank him — endlessly, lovingly, and forever.
Rest well, Fernando. You are missed, you are loved, and you are never forgotten.
A private graveside service and internment will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Rd., Hillside. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society in his memory are appreciated. For more information, please call (708) 442-8500
