The family of Gerald B. Pawlowski is saddened to report his unexpected passing at age 72, on October 16, 2022. Gerry, or “Pryz” to his oldest and dearest friends, was gregarious, intelligent, affable and inventive; a man of many talents. He enjoyed a long and rewarding 32 year career with Canon Business Solutions.
Everything he strove to accomplish was for the benefit, care and comfort of his family: his loving wife of 44 years (Laura) and sons Benjamin (Stephanie) and Eric (Clarissa). He is survived by a small loving circle of extended family members that will miss him dearly: Leila Zweibel, Barry and Nancy Zweibel, Andy Zweibel, Jessica Zweibel (Tom McNary), Kimberly and Brad Vock, Aidan and Carter Vock and Luke Pawlowski, Reagan and Everett, and very dear friends too numerous to mention. “The true measure of a well-lived life is how well we love … and how well we are loved in return”.
Gerry delighted in the 18 years of borrowed time that followed his 2004 brain surgery and equally unexpected death of his younger brother, Danny. Each subsequent trip around the sun was an opportunity for gratitude, laughter and celebration of his love of family. He enjoyed making new acquaintances - at every opportunity, sharing colorful anecdotes, proudly logging thousands of miles on his outdoor and indoor bike each year, rebuilding his PC, the music of Frank Zappa and New Orleans Jazz, and the opportunity to travel with Laura, especially visiting the National Parks.
A private family memorial service to celebrate Gerry’s life will be held at his home on October 30th.
In lieu of flowers, the Pawlowski Family would appreciate donations to Active Transportation Alliance, or the American Brain Tumor Organization in honor of Gerry.
